Emeritus Professor Lesley Johnson is Strategic Development Manager at University of New South Wales. Prior to this she had held the positions of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Griffith University; and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, (Research and Development) at University of Technology, Sydney. She has also worked at the University of Queensland, the University of Melbourne and the University of Western Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and was awarded a Centenary Medal in 2003.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been on the board of a number of companies, including Cooperative Research Centre Sustainable Tourism, Cardiac Cooperative Research Centre Nominees, Aquaculture Cooperative Research Centre and Synergy, and has board experience of a start-up company.
